Currently in route to Austin, Texas on Alaskan Airlines (free booze, but I'm saving myself for live music bars tonight) with Paul, daydreaming about all the fun we're about to have this vacation week. It's Paul's first time in Texas, and first time meeting some of my closest friends from home and my amazingly big family in The Woodlands (thanksgiving guest list expects a modest 20).
Got an incredibly sweet email from my brother this morning - shout out, Brian! - welcoming us home and telling me how proud he is of me. I love when older brothers surprise you by suddenly being sentimental, out of nowhere. Of course, he ended the email admitting that he reads my blog, but won't leave comments, for fear of coming off as a pervy old man who randomly subscribes to young women's blogs. Fair enough.
