Hello daddy, hello mom, I'm your ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb!

As the title of this entry hints, I just found a new band to love after watching The Runaways tonight. The style, energy, and I-don't-give-a-fuckery of the all girls 80s band makes me wish I had been discovered in a bar as the slightly rebellious 15 year old I was, just like Cherry Currie. This has nothing to do with rest of this entry, except that Italy is also awesome and a refreshing escape from my current day-to-day grind.

Me at fifteen:

I was going to title this something flashy like 'So ... I moved to Italy' but at this point the majority of my *exclusive* readers know that I've been back for awhile. That would have been such a fun prank, but that's what I get for slacking.

Here are some of the remaining pics of my Italian getaway trip, taken in Orvieto and Rome:

Pretty street in Orvieto, with a view of the rolling hills surrounding

Owls - so hot right now in Italy!

One of the few bars in Orvieto, made awesome by their huge plates of free food during happy hour and flat screens playin pop music videos

Semi Aspen lookalike

b&B we stayed at for two nights in Rome. Run by a hip single woman in her 30s who gave us a short novels worth of things to do and see in Rome and got dropped in on by a Lonely Planet journalist while we were there.

Overly excited Oliver

Hungover Hugh

The Italian ice tea and absinthe that made us feel very crazy

Pre crazy jenn

Genuine naples pizza ... From Rome

All of the above were eaten in one night after we ordered the mysterious and multi-coursed chef's choice. We ended our trip the fullest we've ever been in our lives.
