My mom told me that my 5-year-old nephew, Jack, kept asking her this last Friday, waiting for my plane to fly in from San Francisco. "I'll wait until midnight if I have to," he pledged. What a precious little man.
I spent last weekend in San Diego, watching my amazing neice, Alyssa (age 12), compete in the USA National Triathlon championship. Out of hundreds of boys and girls, Alyssa took 7th place. In true form, she was disappointed in herself for not being within the top five. The family cheered her up with a trip to Baskin Robbins and plenty of hugs. Her competitive nature and love of ice cream further confirms our blood relation.
Once my brother sends over the pictures of Alyssa, Katie (my other awesome niece) and Jack, I'll be sure to post them below. Get ready for cuteness overload.
